"Addressing the human conditions of our time"

Rev. Ware's Health Update

February 8, 2008

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name!

Pastor Ware was discharged from the hospital late Sunday evening but with a considerable amount of the pain he went in with. He is still dealing with that pain, but the encouraging news is that the pain is apparently not cardiac-related. Our doctors are awesome. It's a dream team, really. Dr. Abreu, Dr. Meares and Dr. Wesley are all very caring doctors who are taking care of my husband and they all instill a high level of confidence, which is outstanding.

Daddy sent Mom down for a week! Isn't God good?! She will be here until Saturday. What a sweet relief. But, I'm not the only one elated - the 'sick and the infirm' around here will eat more for her than for anyone else. I guess it might have something to do with the fact that it's Mom!, however, I'm trying to understand that, because "they" need to remember that she will be going home on Saturday and "they" will have only me again. You know - you really don't need to offend the caregiver, do you????? The hand that feeds you every (EVERY!) day, ...oohhh, somebody needs to shout right here, right about now!!

Sister Barbara Wright came over from Tampa and made my beloved dish! Oh - this has to be the best dish! It was delicious and most appreciated. No, I didn't forget to tell you what it was, she might not want to make it for you!!  OK - OK, I'll stop there!

Well, with that dish and with all of Mom's excellent cooking gone, I guess he'll be in shock next week getting back to my 'meager fare', but you live with what you have - right!???

You know what? We are still blessed no matter what our circumstances are - so we are still giving praises to God for He is worthy of all of the praise. What a Mighty God we serve- He is Someone who knows all and who sees all and who holds the Master Plan. He has been gracious and merciful to us and has never left us throughout this entire venture.

I'll keep you posted...please keep praying, especially about that pain.

Larry and Suzette
